Stupid ippt cohesion training

Becos of this stupid cohesion training, i cannot plan to work, kind of wasted my off dae cos i can use it to do more meaningful things. Thinking back when i was having exams in april, some coporal from my reservist unit called to ask whether i will be attending the training anot, i should have turned him down, kind of regretted.

It was a busy day for me. I woke up late and i had to rush to school to submit qianting and my hall application forms. If not for Qianting's forms, i would have forgo-ed getting a hall cos i was damnz lazy to travel all the way back to NTU hall 5 juz to submit the forms.
Altho i find all these trainings very stupid, but when i got to see my platoon mates, I was so excited! That was when i noe i reallie miss them!!! We basically juz play our way throughout the whole training, and this is the 1st time i got above 12 mins for my 2.4km. But i think i wanna do better nex time, i wanna get gold with incentive. Its possible, cos im in Cat Y now. =/ and =D

Anywae i feel so bad and left out for not joining them for dinner. I promised i will join them the next ippt training in june.

i love you guyz!!!

NPCC gathering

I've been waiting for this gathering for very long cos i've been missing in action and i feel very bad about it. After discussing with them about the dates, it seems like im the one who is always giving them problem, and ended up i have to become the organiser.

We went MINDS cafe @Prinsep street. We have 2 surprise characters attending. One of them is our Dua pek gong, Junqiang. OMG he has put on weight!!!! Next is our long MIA Paul, who has finally regained his freedom from Army.
We played quite number of boardgames, and enjoyed playing taboo the most and kept laughing at one another's english.
One thing i realised is that, no matter wat we do or go, it doesnt matter cos in the end it will be a fruitful one. The meaningful and precious time we spent with one another is wat we want.

Ok, who's the next organiser?

X-Physique

I always wanted to join those adventure competitions when i was in poly, but i couldn't find anyone to participate with me. I remember once i signed up for the mini biathlon organised by the water sports club NYP, my partner Alice back out and ended up we din go for the race. I was damnz freaking disappointed!! Now that i am in NTU, getting people to join with me isn't a difficult thing anymore.

After winning in our own ODAC ATC step up race, my passion for joining in such compeition grows. I got my odac biz mag comm mates to join me in my team, along with other odac members to race with us.

We took part in the inter-varsity category. Altho i wanted to win very much, but i was feeling so lazy and lethargic on the actual day, so i took the competition very lightly, treat it as a bonding session with my team mates.

The race was held in urban area, and it started off with a jigsaw puzzle. Next was kayaking, followed by cycling, obstacles clearing and abseiling. Its very similiar as our ATC step up, just that is held in the sub urban area, and is more challenging.

In the end, none of the ODAC groups win anything, but we were very happie after the race cos we feel bonded. More races to come!!!

Pumpfest 2009

ODAC's main 1st event of 2009 is Pumpfest, which is an annual bouldering competition for the 11th year running. Its one of the 4 main bouldering league of singapore. This time round it takes place at Velocity.

Event time means busy time... The event will only be held from the 15th may till 17th may, but we started working on it a few months ago. As business manager, we have to source for sponsors and negotiate with them.

On the 14th may, Andy drove us all around Singapore to collect the sponsor items. It took us the whole day to collect the items and we had to rush to collect everything by the sponsors end work at 6pm. Although it was just collecting items, we were all shagged out, maybe becos most of the time we were sitting at the back of the lorry under the sun. But it was reallie good to see the items we collected, cos the lorry was reallie packed with the items.

14th may is oso my birthday, i cant believe i've spent my birthday like this. haha~~ no matter wat, i m reallie very happie that the Biz Mag actually remembers and celebrated it with mi. Thanx for the deuter pouch, although i already have one, but i still like it alot. =) I cut birthday cake with jason, whose birthday is juz a day b4 mine.

Goodie bags packing was chaos. It was good to see so many people helping up to pack the goodie bags. I was in charge of distributing the items to the packers. I think we should not rush, and should have packed the bags items by items. Some packers packed fast and some were slow. The fast packers will then came to us and asked for new items, while the slower ones were still packing the previous items. Because of this, we had a hard time, we had to keep asking whether thay have packed this items, whether they packed that items. I think this part reallie dragged and slow down our time. But im still happie that we finished packing quite fast.

The actual event was a very good one, i stayed throughout the 3 daes. I got to see many people participating, from young to old, from male to female, noobies to experts. Not very often will i get to see professionals climbing, i felt so excited watching them. Although it rained, but it din stop the enthu climbers from coming, and there was quite a crowd of spectators watching the competition.

Biz mag's task was mainly mending the Sunplay and Deepheat booths, taking care of the printing of photos. If you're lucky enough, and if there's insufficient manpower, you may need to help out at the wall.

I totally understand how Pumpfest committees feel and i can see their hard work. Well done PUMPFEST!!! =D

2xth Birthday =P

I have been working these few daes and i reallie nit a small break. Surprisingly Qianting called to jio us for a gathering. Initially I was surprised becos i never tot she will organise outings. =P I like gatherings, i immediately agreed to it.
On the day, i was on morning shift until 7pm. So after work i joined them at the steamboat buffet at vivocity. I din noe there's a steamboat buffet at vivo even though i have been working there for like almost 2 yrs.

Joanne also joined us after her tuition job. We had a good dinner and food was never enough when we are eating buffet, so they asked mi to go for a second round of food and i did as they say. When i went back to the table, i was so surprised to see them holding a small cake. So touched that they actually remember my birthday! I never suspected anything, i tot it is juz a small gathering. And yeahz, i received a Braun Buffel wallet from them. I love it. Thanx alot man!!

Too bad Hady din join us, Qianting din ask him along becos she felt so guilty and awkward for not celebrating for him due to exams. She din noe Tianlong and i actually ordered pizza and eat with him when we were studying for exams at Tianlong's room.

I love you guyz! Cant wait to meet you guyz again =D

CIDP Hell week

Its hell because I have to travel to school early in the morning everyday. And we only have like 30 mins grace time before the inflexible lab tech stop us from signing the attendant sheet.

I hate to squeeze in the buses or MRT, but i guess i muz get used to it cos i will nit to do that everydae next semester. I cant get hall =(  Any kind soul wanna rent their hall to me?

Seriously speaking, i dun think we did alot for CIDP this week, cos we were playing restaurant city most of the time, and improvised a bit on our program only. But we found out that actually our program is already very good compared to other groups.

No matter wat, CIDP week has ended, its HOLIDAY!!!! lets nua for 3 months!!! =D

ODAC BBQ

Its the 1st ODAC gathering after the exams. The people are still as crazy. The theme is "Kampong" and we got to play some kampong games, like "pa gong li", "ku ti", "5 stones" etc...

It brought back alot of my childhood memories, especially when we were playing "zero point". This is the game i used to play very often at the stairs lobby at my grandma place.

Actually i tot if everyone dressed up like those kampong people, it will be more interesting. I suggested it and ended up i became the mascot for biz mag. Biz mag got so excited when it comes to sabotaging ppl, Chinghui actually brought along a sarong, and jason bought a fan for me to dress up. I will do my best to sabotage people if there's a chance!!! Your turn will come...!!!!

Biz mag is indeed an eating comm. After BBQ, we went  to Selegie Tau hueh for supper. It's one of the best tau hueh in singapore. And we ended going to Jason's place to play Wii. Happening larz, we were so crazy over raving rabbits... Oh yahz, we got to web cam with Joy. We are all waiting for her to fly back, den Biz Mag will reunite!!!

Although not everyone can make it todae, i reallie enjoyed.

Biz Mag Night Cycling 09

This is what i have been waiting for after all the sufferings. (im referring to the exams) I felt so seperated from the outside world and finally i can get to meet all my dearest biz mag frenz.

I Always wanted to cycle around singapore at night, and enjoy the night breeze, the quietness and peacefulness, and all the good food in singapore.

It was kind of rush as i woke up very late and have to go back to school to pay for the applcation fee to apply for hall. By the time everything was done, it was already 5pm.

Luckly i met Jason on 179 and discussed about the meeting time if not the night cycling will not happen cos we found out that the bicycle kiosks closes at 7pm and our original plan was to meet at 9pm. It was so rush, i have to take cab home to get changed. So some of them has to got down earlier to rent the bikes on our behalf.

Wahaha, i managed to get Weixin to join us.. She is so scared of long distance cycling. We started from Pasir ris park. We cycled to Changi Village for Lala, Carrot cakes etc. The food was great!!! Then we proceeded on to East coast Park. We cycled past the long stretch of track along the runway of changi airport. It was so cool to see planes take off and land.

We had a short break at ECP macdonald and a long rest at esplanade where almost everyone fell asleep. Lastly we cycled to Geylang and had supper at the 126 Dim sum. Its one of the best dim sum in Singapore, although its a bit expensive, but its worth the money. =)

The sleeping princesses of ODAC biz mag 08/09 : Serene, Chinghui, HuiZhen and WeiXin =P

The night cycling was a good one, but I feel a few years older after the cycling session. So its good to have it once a year, cos keep staying overnight and exercise is not healthy. hahaha...
