There r 2 songs which reminded mi of taiwan cos the whole taiwan street were playing them when i was there. One of them is 天空 by 蔡依林 JoLiN tSaI, which is a slow song, quite a touching one, if u dun find it nice, u probably dislike jolin. The other one is 不由自主 by 徐若瑄 vIvIaN hSu, which is a sweet song. The very first thing i wanna tok about taiwan is the weather~~~ i'm pretty disappointed with the weather cos its hot, same as singapore, mayb nt tt hot, but its still hot... Except for the first 3 daes, the weather is cold, we had to hide under our sleeping bag when we slp, n for the rest of the dae, u'll sweat until u die if u slp in ur sleeping bag.. Actually i should've know it from the start cos its already end of spring going to summer, how cool can the weather get... but my overall in charge Bso (battalion signal officer, lta francis) told us tt the hottest temperature in taiwan will b ard 22 drgree C... Okiez, enough of the weather, lets tok bout the accommodation... I'm quite okiez with the bunk, juz tt the spaces between the bed n the cupboards were too cramp,  tHe oPs fOrCe bLk, oUr bLoCk tHe pAtHetIc nArRoW pAtH tt lEaDs tO mY bEd oUr bEds, 4 bEds tOgEtHeR...n i can't tahan the toilet, damnz smelly, even when u have the feeling to go toilet to do big business, u'll have to think twice, mayb thrice... There are bins for us to throw the used toilet papers cos the toilet bowls r too lousy n weak to flush down the toilet papers.. Imagine when the 100 plus ppl use the toilets n the used toilet paper accumulate, the smell gets stronger, u smell liaoz sure vomit until u faint one lo... luckily got ppl complaint, den they banned toilet papers, n ppl gotta wash instead. The 1st few daes were so sianz, our only activity other than those strenuous sports like soccer n basketball is dai dee... in the morning after area cleaning we play dai dee until lunch, after lunch we play dai dee until dinner, after dinner we play dai dee until late night... haha... of cos we wun juz purely play dai dee, we play punishments oso... i remember i did 1000++ pumpings in a dae n water punishments is the main game, as the bet got bigger from 1/4 bottle to 2 bottles, more n more ppl joined us, even ps jimmy n sgt vj... haha, we wanted them to drink... n i drank more than 6 bottles... Another place which we always visit is the canteen. Say wanna save up the money for rnr but we kept spending money on food from canteen, cos the 鸡扒 (chicken cutlet) n tian bu la r juz simply irresistible, especially when wu xiang fen n la jiao fen is added, keep mi drooling... Back in singapore, we were told tt the fieldcamp is juz 4 daes, but when the real thing comes, we had to stay outfield for 8 daes... we felt tt we were being cheated, we have nv been to fieldcamp for so long b4, imagine 8 daes cannot bathe, yucks.. Actually i dun mind if the weather is cool, but its hot n i'm a person who sweat alot... the feeling sux sia... Imagine u have to eat combat ration for the 8 daes, who will wan to eat?? tts y we spent alot of money on the ninja van,  tHe nInJa vAn, wHiCh iS oSo cALLeD "xIaO mI fEnG" Look aT tHe fOOd tHe nInJa vAn uNcLe iS cOOkInG, SiLiVa dRiPPiNg LiAoZagain its ji pa n tian bu la, plus the delicious chicken burger... out of the 6000NT, i spent 4000NT on food b4 rnr... N i realised taiwanese reallie like to drink tea/milk tea, everywhere u go, u'll find tea/milk tea... The mission sux lo, we were supposed to b enemy, relax n easy, but we fought like as if we r the troopers... Being able to b in a section is my dream, at 1st they kept asking mi to do those runners' job, i tot i was going to become runner again, luckily wai leong took over my place... Some of us were choosen to go outfield one dae earlier to support the ADF ppl n the whole alpha team was choosen. Its nt fair lo, but none of us made any noise. N i think See kok long regretted nt making any objection cos he lost his wallet during this outfield. All his NT n singapore $ gone, luckily his passport n ID were with mi. We suspected parrot (hisyam) cos he was sleeping on where we settled down initially. He kept taking out 1000NT notes to buy things, its strange cos he nv bring alot of money n even borrowed money from glendon, but wat to do, we cannot accuse him, we have no evidence. N our 1st mission is on top of a cemetry, scary...   I muz admit tt Guards reallie fight very lousily, cos they came from 2 opposite direction, i oso muz admit tt this wae we died fast cos we were stuck in the middle, but they oso lost cos they can kill one another by firing from opposite direction. Mayb they juz finished their ATEC tts y theyhave no mood to fight, but come to think of it, they oso din do well in sinapore when we were oso the enemy for one of their exercise.  aFtEr tHe LoNg fIeLdCaMp... mArCo n bSo, sIr fRaNcIs mArCo n sIr cOLiN, cAn u BeLiEvE hE's yOuNgEr tHaN mI...I reallie dunnoe wat BSO wans from mi...1stly when the whole alpha were doing the vehicle patrol, he pulled mi out from the team saying he wanted mi to follow him to do the OP thing, but mi ended up in recce team, different team with him... 2ndly, when sgt vj chose mi to b in his section to go fight the last mission, BSO pulled mi out again saying tt he wants mi to b in his section, but in the end i ended up in the reserve team. Even sgt vj oso sonfused wat BSO wans. I noe mayb he wans mi to relax, dun wan mi to do those siong things, but like tt he gimme a feeling he's doubting my fighting skill lo... Altho the whole thing was quite tiring, but we managed to make some taiwanese ah bing ge frenz...  tHe 1 sIr eNeMy tEaMRnr is something we were waiting for, cos is free n easy meaning its uncontrolled. The hotel fee was paid by saf n we had to pair up to share a hotel room. Actually wanted ah zai to share the room with mi but in the end i had to share the room with ah seng cos the list stated so n we weren't allowed to change partners, juz in case we nit to pay for anything extra, the ic has to take charge. The 1st thing i did when i reached my hotel room was to check on the tv channels, haha, u guyz guess wat i was trying to do larz, haha....  tAkEn b4 wE lEaVe pOh Li cAmP... wItH mY fELLow rUnnEr fReN fRoM cHaRLiE, kAiKai iN hOtEl b4 wE gO sHoPPiNg, mArCo n kOk LoNgWe were lost on the 1st dae. We din noe where to go with juz a english map where the sign boards were all in chinese. Luckily we asked the ah bing ge about gao xiong, n we knew about 2 places tt we can go. We went to "Han sheng shopping centre" n a place called "xin jue jiang".  "Ai hE" (LoVe rIvEr) wHeRe cOuPlEs gO..."Han sheng" is a place like our Takashimaya where the things r very expensive, its seems like its a place for those taitai. We had our lunch n left tt place. "xin jue jiang" is place like our bugis street, where all the youngster gather n nice nice clothes r sold. The whole street were playing Jolin, Fir n jay chou's songs... I realised something, they dun sell pirated cds... There were quite alot of arcades, n the basketball game is quite popular over there, i spent almost 200NT playing it, whereas ah seng n peh spent 300NT each trying to catch soft toys. We lost our wae while trying to walk back, spent about 2 hrs walking one big round around tt messy city... haha... Initially we wanted to take a walk at the "Liu he ye shi", but after the 2 hrs walk, we got tired n decided to head back to hotel to rest. N our only night juz ended like tt, no night life no anything.  "HaN sHeNg" sHoPPiNg cEnTrE oN tHe stReeT aT "XiN jUe JiAnG", eh... a sUppOrt gUy (i dUnNoE hIs nAmE, haha) n kOk LoNgThe nex dae we woke verey early to do our last min shopping. I managed to buy 2 bermudas n some t-shirts, earrings... m Seng managed to catch a big softtoy after spending so much money on tt machine... We tried some of the food, "chou tou fu" is one them i muz mention, cos it sux... When i walked pass the stall selling it, i smelled the aroma n felt like vomitting, the smell is gone when i hold it n smell but when i put it in my mouth n bite it, the smell came back, n i vomitted out. It smell like those smell from rubbish centre lo, i rinsed my mouth with lime juice, haha... n The pathetic city doesn't sell their "tu chan", we regretted nt buying any when we stopped at the "tu chan" shop on our wae to Gao xiong. Anywae we managed to get some "tu chan" at Gao xiong airport.  mArCo n wEiKaNg aT gAoxIoNg aIrPoRtOverall i quite enjoy the trip, but i'll enjoy more if i have more money... haha... n guyz, sorrie ar, din have enough money to get something for u guyz, sorrie...
Finally got my poly stuffs done, except i forgot to photocopy my ite results... Anywae Gary~~~~ hope u c this msg wor~~~ Help mi collect my medical report, photocopy my ite result, n send to nyp wor~~~ thanx alot bro!!! Before i forget n miss the chance to wish u, advanced happie bdae!!!! hey guyz gary's bdae is on the 14th april!!!! haha~~~ get ready to receive many presents, slp early on tt nite n dream ar... haha~~ Din noe studying in a poly can b so troublesome. u guyz wun believe it, i went to 3 banks in 1 dae, n i went to one of the bank 2 times, which means a total of 4 times visit to banks... Firstly i went to DBS at hougang st 21 with my dad as my guarantor to get my poly loan done, den i went to UOB to pay my sch fees, den to POSB to get my GIRO form filled. Photocopied so many things n i forgot to photocopy my ite results, wat the~~~ Hai, should have gone home after my poly stuffs were done... i went to the arcade to relieve stress n i lost my wallet!!! arrgghhh!!!!! my 11B inside, i nit my 11B to go thru the airport todae, i became so panicked n i started calling many ppl with my hp. BSO asked mi to go report police n go back camp to get a temporary 11B. arrggghhh~~~~ gotta sepnd 50 bucks for a new 11B, waste money sia, i'm going to ord liaoz... unless some kind soul send my wallet back to mi.... Lastly i went to POSB at thomson plaza to get a new atm card... sianz... y gotta go there lehz? cos most POSB closed at 430pm, the POSB at thomson open till 7pm.... n i broke my record, i took taxi 4 times in 2 hourz... 2005 is reallie nt a gd yr for mi~~~
This time round, i'm going to taiwan.... Feels so excited but oso feeling so "bu she de", altho its only a 2 weeks plus thing. dunnoe y everytime before i go oversea, i will meet up with some of my frenz, its as if i wun b coming back... Fridae met up beng n serene for ktv session at k bos at cineleisure... K box chop carrot ar, so expensive!!! charge us 28 bucks each for 4 hours, furthermore it was on a weekdae nite, i remember i went to k box on a weekend oso nt tt ex. Dun reallie enjoy cos we all r too tired, dun reallie have the mood to sing... Later on met siva n adam for supper, n beng drove serene adam siva back, n when sending mi home, i suggested beng to drive ard b4 go home. He drove mi to changi village n c ah gua, haha, n i met "natasha" (mentioned in previous entry b4) again. Sat went for medical check up at Hougang mall for my poly enrolment, luckily i woke up early n queue, if nt it'll b late when i finish my checkup. Met jason for movie n dinner... We watched "samara", which is something like "the ring II". Its nt a bad show, nv regret watching. Sundae went to ktv again. So surprised tt chee kiong actually jio us out... We went to the usual sunlight partyworld. Halfwae the ktv, zai asked mi out to accompany him go shop, he wanted to buy a jacket, but ended up buying nothing... Its hard for him to get wat he wan, suggested sports jacket to him, he said look like malay wear one, suggested those more formal one to him, he said too ex too formal, dunnoe wat he wan.. In the end when we went back to the ktv, the session most ended... sianz, regretted going out with zai... Actually wanted to meet more frenz, but time constraint.... anywae will b back soon, b ready to go out with mi when i come back wor...
I missed the last briefing, so i gotta attend this. Its on my off dae but its okiez, cos i wanna noe more about the taiwan trip. Becos the briefing only will start at 10am, n we were told to bk in early in the morning at 730am to settle some area cleaning shit stuffs, ah zai n mi decided to bk in the nite b4. (it would b difficult for us to go camp early in the morning, difficult to get a cab too, furthermore we r broke, no $ to take cab liaoz) The area cleaning was related to the security hazard thingy which we muz score well to get the best combat unit, n becos of tt CO will b inspecting all the bunks. All eletrical appliances muz b cleared n no extra plugs r allowed. The malays turned bunk 4 into a mini soccer court n in the end we had to clear n tidy up the mess for them, shit them!!! n our tv rack was destroyed, by subash~~ haha, he was forced to do tt... Taiwan briefing is the main thing, i'm so excited, i nv go a long journey on a plane b4, n RnR is wat i reallie concerned about, haha~~~ Got to noe tt it will b 2 daes 1 nite uncontrolled RnR at Gao xiong... While listening to the briefing, Glendon told mi to act poor when i go to those nightclubs.... DO I LOOK LIKE A PERSON WILL GO TT KIND OF PLACE??? haha~~~ haiz... Got to noe tt Paul will b going too, n will b changing 1000+ singapore dollars, rich sia.... After the briefing we were allowed to bk out, sgt siew n derrick volunteered to drive us to novena mrt cos they'll b going there to pay tax.  wE'Re tOO bO LiAoZ aGaIn~~
Since we will b going there, i suggested to visit junhua's mum at tan tock seng hospital. Ah zai kept complaining tt he was forced to go visit junhua's mum n can c tt ah seng dun feel like going too... haha, but i insisted on going, he's my buddy lehz... => Quite glad to c junhua smile n tt her mum is recovering... hope everything will b fine for junhua~~~ n everybody ard mi~~~
This month is "chin ming jie" n i went "shao mu" with my family minus my bro on sundae... People always say "chin ming jie" equals to raining season which i totally agree, cos it will rain everytime i go shao mu, n it reallie rained, a heavy one, n scary~~  tHe dArK cLoUds sTaRtEd cOnQuErInG tHe sKy tO mE, iT LooKs LiKe AmAgEdDoN, sKy dArK dArK, stRoNg wInd bLoWiNg, aShEs fLyInG aRoUnD n wOrSt Of aLL, All tHeSe hApPeNeD iN a CeMeNtRy..At 1st the sun was shining strongly on us, i could feel my skin burning, but halfwae praying for my ah gong, the dark clouds started coming in, lightning could b heard. I was prepared to get wet like the last few yrs. We managed to finish everything for my ah gong b4 it started raining. My dad drove us to us to my ah ma's area with his lorry , n we got lost. My dad never drive inside the cementry b4, normally he would juz park his lorry outside along the road. We waited in the lorry for the rain to stop n we managed to finish "shao mu" for my ah ma without any difficulties. Looking at my ah ma's pix, i realised tt i reallie miss her. Remeber when i was young she used to bring down to the void deck to wait for my mum to go home after her work, ah ma's congee(best, no one can replace) n we would sit at the red sofa to watch the 9pm singapore drama series. Haiz...
Booked in on tue, a dae after i left the chalet which was supposed to b a off cos it was the last dae for the chalet. Reason.... Some big shot from dunnoe where wanna visit our bunk, comapny office etc n we were told to do area cleaning. We will spend the whole morning tidying up the place, tts was the schedule for tt morning larz, but we din give a damn, we slp... haha... The mr big shot went to our company when we went for lunch, in the end i din get to c how tt he looks like, n i dun think he go up to our bunk to take a look too. Altho i dun care about his existence, i'm still wondering y muz he visit Alpha coy only? Becos of his visit the whole plha coy had to bk in while the other 3 coy were on off... We were told tt fridae there will b a c.o.c parade (change of command) for the brigade commander, n 48 of us will b choosen to participate in tt parade. Rehearsal will b on wed n thurs. Actually i have nothing to do with tt stupid parade cos i will b doing the c.o.s duty on wed n will b the signaller for the GPMG n 84mm live firing on thurs, but due to the problem of getting 48 ppl to participate(alot of ppl on status, on off), i was being forced to join in the marching contingent. My c.o.s duty was done halfwae, zhong mao took over in the morning n medic took over my place n became the signaller for the live firing... All along, i dun like to attend parade, co parade, coc parade, show parade, defaulters parade all i dun like... We spent hours standing under the hot sun holding the heavy rifle practising our drills, until all uniform all wet n the long-time-never-smell-before-already smell came out, sux lo... The actual parade ended within 45 mins but we took hours n hours to train, n the parade juz ended like tt, its like a waste of time lo, who is tt brigade comd to mi.... My plan on fridae nitez was to go jb with serene n gang, but the parade only started in the evening n ended quite late n i couldn't make it to jb with them... haiz....
