After some discssion about the platoon cohesion thing a few months ago, we came up with the chalet idea, and decided to use the fund from the previous platoon cohesion outing to book the chalet, PS n PC will top up the rest of the amount if the fund is not enough... At tt tpoint of time, we were quite excited about the chalet lo, but when time comes nearer, we feel nothing, mayb becos it was during our off period tts y nobody reallie wanna take charge n plan the chalet, until PS activate the whole platoon to discuss about the thing. The chalet is a 5 daes 4 nitez thing, which i think it too over liaoz, n not many ppl will stay overnight. The chalet started on 250305, a public holidae(good fridae), which i dun think there'll b ppl going, so i went down on the sat. Actually i wanted to go down only on sat nite, but i dun feel gd cos ps booked the chalet for us n we juz throw him alone at the chalet. N only a few of us were at the chalet on sat. Time reallie passes very slow, boredom came over mi, n decided to do stupid things which derrick suggested. We swam to the rock in the middle of the sea n fish there, while ah yong n ah hui fish at the jetty using fishing rod. Chalet is about gambling, we play "labee" (dunnoe how to spell), dai dee, mahjong, n all other games... I noe my mahjong skill is nt tt gd, so i share with ah xiao, but still i lost almost 30 bucks.  kInG oF gAmBlEr, aH hUi
We oso drink water as punishment, i remember mi drinking at least 15 cups, nearly vomitted n kept going to toilet, at least 10 times in 2 hrs... At one pt of time we reallie feel bored until dying soon, we went to downtown east to bowl. Realised actually ah zai n ps r gd bowlers. We oso went down to accompany junhua at the hospital, i can see tt he is reallie very happie to c so many of us there. Too bad he couldn't go to the chalet, if not it would b more fun with him ard. After the visit the bikers (chee kiong stanley ah lam n mi) went to geylang's "you tiao da wang" to eat n coincidentally met fabian, who is the one who suggested the chalet n wasn't there on the 1s dae. On the wae back we went to changi village to c "ah gua". We parked the bike at the side of the road n chatted with one of the "babok", n got to noe tt her name is natasha. When stanley asked her to choose who "she" wanna "her" number to, "she" came to mi, i was quite scared lo, my heart was beating very fast, imagine "her" wearing very little only. But in the end "she" gave "her" number to chee kiong instead, n chee kiong can't seems to forget "her" n kept smsing"her", haha`~~  nItE vIeW oF cHaNgI aIrPoRtOn the bbq nitez itself, alot of them weren't there, only left with most of the chinese... We tried to bbq as much food as possible but still we had to throw away the leftover uncooked food... wat a waste lo... n wat a disappointment, nt even one of our bmt instructors came, n ziliang (our x pc) wasn't there too...  dUrInG bbQ tOO bOrEd, tOO bO LiAoZ~~~ mArCo n zAiMayb the chalet is too long, most of us left on mondae... n tue morning gotta bk in, sianz...
As mentioned in the previous entry tt i have took off in such a wae tt i will get to enjoy a super long weekend, but i received a special call from alpha company on tuesdae asking us to go book in by 930am the nex morning... It was ah hui, ps (platoon sergeant) tasked him to call the whole of platoon 3 to informed us about the bookin in timing, but no reason was told. The 1st thing tt came to my mind was tt it is becos of the chalet thingy tts y we were activated to go back cos most of us took off n won't b booking in until fridae, which is the 1st dae of the chalet, n we still wasn't informed about the chalet details. Den i received calls from lam n zai, great minds think alike, we were thinking of the same thing. I decided to meet lam n junhua to bk in together, they ride so i become one of their pillion. Lam was supposed to meet us at yio chu kang, but instead he lost his wae n went to serangoon stadium instead, n we had to go over there to fetch him, n lam's engine went off again at the entrance of our camp's gate, haha, he's still a new rider. To our surprised we weren't late. About y we have to book in, it was partly becos of the chalet thing, another thing is becos those who r supposed to go for the ACCT (advanced close combat training) took off n din attend the trainings, which pissed sgt siew n ps off, n ps decided to confine us. Haiz, things r always like tt, we, the innocents have to suffer with those offenders. Heard from ah xiao tt it was sgt siew idea, thanx ar, i had plans for wed already. N thanx to those inconsiderate n selfish ppl of platoon 3 acct takers. (Let mi tok more about those incosiderate b**tards in the nex entry) The whole of wed n thurs were so boring, we slept in lecture room, we watched those stupid tv shows, play ps 2, went for jogging... But there's one thing i find it at least happie, ah yong came tok to mi about his problems n tok to mi about life, cos he is those matured type, i find the things he said meaningful. happie becos he seldom tok to mi about his problems, he trusted mi tts y he tel mi. Oso happie for ah zai tt his "greenbean" asked him out on his bdae, its been along time i've seen ah zai so happie liaoz... Junhua's grandma passed away n will b busy with the funeral thing, he is nt able to do the guard duty. Sometimes ps is a quite fair guy, he asked medic who will nt b involved in any guard duty to draw lots to c who have to take junhua's place, n ridhuan kena, haha, becos of subash absence, if nt subash will b the 1st choice take over directly. On hearing tt encik wanna tok to us on thursdae at 1600hr, it demoralised mi cos tt means we can only book out after 4pm. But a gd news came, ps wan mi to help carry his stuffs back to his house n allowed mi to bk out directly from there, n b4 i booked out, he drove mi to hougang pt n treated mi to lunch, haha, "zhuan dao"... Anywae the tok was cancelled, encik wasn't there, the rest of the guyz got to bk out at 4pm. Things nt going well for junhua, 1st his grandma passed away, as he is the grandson of his grandma's eldest son, he will b v busy. On fridae, he lost his sleep, anohter bad news came, his mum was admitted to hospital, n had to go for a urgent surgery. As his buddy, i went down accompany him, along with zai n lam. It is reallie a heartache to c junhua cry, when the doctor out from the operation room saying tt these 2 daes will b critical. I was shocked too, i tot everything will b fine. Life sux lo, all bad things only happened to good guyz. Seeing him cry i oso cannot do anything, i dunnoe how to tok well, stay by his side is the best wae to console him. Hope he stay strong n his mum will recover soon...
When i book in on mondae, i found out tt ah zai, ah xiao, ah yong, ah seng n junhua will b clearing their off on mon, tues n wed, meaning they only return to camp on thursdae morning... sianz, only left with lam cheekiong n fabian n others.(names mentioned r those who r closer to mi) Keep thinking n thinking, keep seeing people going to sir asking for off, i oso bueh tahan, i go get off from sir. At 1st i wanna clear on wed n thurs only cos i only got 4 daes off, muz leave 2 for chalets, tts y i only can clear 2 daes, but sir allowed mi to clear on tue too cos he said no pt staying when the whole platoon is nt around. The whole mondae was v boring, i spent the whole dae in the office accompnying ah lam cos he was the c.o.s for tt dae. Of cos i'll b the best choice to stand in for him when he go for cookhouse duty, n whenever i stand in, the phone would ring n i'll become busy. Sgt siew kept asking mi why m i so busy when ah lam is the c.o.s... In the evening, i stand in for ah lam, cos he went out to take his new bike. i hate to do cookhouse duty n in the end i nv go, mayb its nt my duty so i heck care.. haha... oops, sorrie ah lam, but u din get any scoldings from the DO n BOS oso mahz... den lam wanted mi to stay till tml morning so tt he can ride mi back, but in my mind i dun wish to b his pillion cos he's a new rider i scared... haha~~~ True enough, as a new rider, his driving skill still nt tt gd anough, the engine went off in the middle of the road after a traffic halt... arrgghhh, malu... haha~~~
Haha~~ no more armskote men, thanx sir zishan for fighting for mi, thanx sgt siew oso, altho u may think tt u din do much, but at least u were trying to help, i think, thanx alot... I'm being replaced by ah lai.... actually i think they made the rite choice cos i'll b leaving the comapny in june or mayb earlier (may leave earlier for studies) whereas ah lai will b staying till sep i think. Ah lai can help up all the wae, no point asking someone who will b leaving early to do mahz... Altho the problem is solved, another one is coming up.. The new OC doesn't seems to b happie with ah lai taking over. B4 i book out on fri he asked mi whether i'm a diploma or A level student, i have a strong feeling tt he is trying to promote mi to corporal.... pleeeeaaassseee leave mi alone, i wanna study, dun make mi spoilt my study plan, or even if i'll b leaving early, dun make mi owe SAF another 2 more months... (corporal will have to serve 2 more months)
We were told tt the company will give a free off dae to us on wed n we were allowed to book in on thursdae noon, so we happily juz go for our off... When we book in, we realised we were being cheated, they wanna minus from our off, people started making noise cos its nt fair to us, our hard earned off is very little only n cannot afford to b minus off anyhow, march still got 2 weeks to go lehz... but we were told tt we were allowed to bk out early (after lunch) on fri, its a small consolation prize ba... I couldn't get tt small consolation prize cos the stupid BSO wan those ppl who will b going to twaiwan to stay back at a stupid timing 515pm for a briefing. Sianz is the 1st word tt come to my mind, cos i cannot bk out after lunch mahz... But, things din turned out to wat it meant to b. For those who r allowed to book out early, they have to take halfdae off instead if nt they'll have to wait till 4pm den can bk out... Heard tt is the new OC who wan it this wae... Lunch to 4 pm is only a few hrs apart, nt even a halfdae, who wanna take off like tt, so most of them deicded to leave only at 4pm. All these doesn't affect mi, the longer they stay, the more happie i get cos they accompany mi mahz, haha... den i was told to become the marshaller for the ippt 2.4km, n ended nt attending the taiwan briefing n my main supposed of staying back is to attend the briefing... haha~~~ All things ended at 630pm, n luckily beng come fetch mi, so tt i no nit to join the mrt crowd... while waiting for beng, i met ah poh, n he wanted a free ride from beng too, haha... Went to bugis with beng to buy serene's present, realli very last min, beng juz got a necklace from bugis village n mi got a key porch at seiyu for her... SeRenE~~~ hAppIe bDaE wor!!! n the presents r actually nt very expensive, dun worrie, still affordable... n we had supper at the usuall "mama shop" at upper serangoon~~~
Haha~~~ reallie happie tt my brother(zihao) finally enlisted on march 15th, which unfortunately falls on his birthdae too, but he's lucky enough to go civil defence... Who says i dun care about my brother, who says i dislike my brother, i took off (which i only got a few daes off n i gotta use throughout the rest of march) to accompany him to Jalan bahar camp (at jurong sia). we usually dun exchange birthdae present but by promising him tt i will accompany to his camp on his special dae is already his best present ever~~~ wahaha... my care~~~ n i reallie accompany him one lorz... haha~~ Thanx sgt siew~~~ luckily u understand how i feel when my brother enlist, n gave mi a half dae off n allowed mi to leave on the nite b4 15th... if i was only allowed to leave on tt dae itself, i think i wouldn't have take tt off cos no pt taking off juz to meet my brother over at his camp n leave a short while after he go in... That nite while leaving, i met encik (for those who r nt in the army n dun understand wat encik means, i oso dunnoe how to explain, haha, he is sort of like the discipline master lorz...) n he asked mi y i never help up in the armskote. I was like acting blur (actually i knew tt i will b forced to help up in the armskote a week ago) asking him y izzit mi who always kena this kind of thing, den i oso took the chance to reject him by saying tt everytime they ask mi do things i nv say no, n they sent mi to pioneer course i oso never make a noise, but!!! he never make any effort to help mi!!!! juz said tt the armskote nit help n tt person muz b clean(no police case/record), sad!!!!! It reallie spoilt my whole nite lorz... keep asking ppl who can do work to do things, sooner or later mr nice guy oso will get frustrated one mahz, n i ain't going to become mr nice guy anymore, the most when they nit help, i juz stay in bunk lorz, ignore them lo...
okokiez... i know i'm off the topic, lets come back to the main topic... On the wae to my brother's camp, zihao din tok much, he juz stared outside the cab.. i know how he feels, i'm a "guo lai ren" haha~~~ actually he's much more nervous than how i felt 2 yrs ago... But i'm wondering how he's going to spend the 2yrs there cos there will b many malays.... (wait!! dun get mistaken wor, i'm no racist wor, juz tt i feel tt malays r super hyperactive, n my bro belong to those quiet quiet type, very difficlt for them to click)
As expected, there were reallie many malays, the ratio of malays, chinese n indian is 6:3:1, good luck to my brother~~ Nothing special lorz, juz sent him there, n after registering he juz went to his bunk, n we din get to c him again, wtf... i tot i can tok to him b4 i leave... Anywae mi n dad went for the tour ard the camp, nothing amazing lorz, but one thing i like about civil defence is tt they will b facing real situation, nt like army, the stupid enemies "bang bang bang", haha~~~
The c.o.s duty on sat reallie spoilt my long weekend lorz, if nt i'll b enjoying from wed until mondae morning, it spoilt my plan too, but i had to accept it, cos its my regimental duty mahz... No choice i had to change plan... so i went orchard n bugis with ah zai, xiao n junhua to look out for my mini speakers, but it seems like the one i wan were all out of stock liaoz, n i ended up buying nothing... As usual, i waited for junhua cos he was late, this time ard was 45 mins, got so frustrasted sia, but i'm still luckier than zai n xiao, they waited at somerset mrt for us for about 1 1/2 hrs... haha~~~ but sometimes i reallie cannot tahan junhua cos he everytime late!!!! arrgghh~~~ Den went to JB with beng to get his car with siva.. Actually wanted to go out with serene n adam, but when we reached singapore, it was 2++am liaoz, already half expected they dun wanna join us liaoz... but i feel its okiez cos if i was her, i wun join them too... Anywae we went to East coast food village to try our luck to c whether still got shops open, but all were closed by then(2am++), so we went to Mac drive thru n bought something to eat, den we proceeded to marina south for bowling session, cos the one at east coast was closed liaoz... After the bowling games, beng sent mi to camp, it was 5am++ by then... haha~~~ i noe i was selfish, i din informed the c.o.s i was in camp cos if he noes, he cfm expect mi to take over earlier, so i went straight up to my bunk n slp until 8++ den take over the duty. (c.o.s duty is from 8am to the other dae 8am) Everything was fine cos weekend c.o.s duty doesn't nit to do cookhouse duty, n can slack in the office the whole dae, juz tt my b.o.s (platoon sergeant harris) is too fussy about our dressing, wanted us to wear our smartest 4, n parade boots... Thinking of pl sgt harris, i suddenly remember tt he is oso strict about the staff parade, but surprised, it was a quick one, 5 mins n off we go... Other than tt, was quite relac... i took my own sweet time going to cookhouse for lunch n dinner, watched 3 vcds in a dae, called some of my frenz to tok cock, skipped my breakfast n slept until the next c.o.s come in... I finished the 3 vcds very fast, den i became bored, i kept walking in n out of the office, looking at charlie guys washing car, calling ppl to remind them to bring swimming trunks when they bk in (actually its the sundae c.o.s's job, i juz do for him cos i was too bored). It got quite scary when i watched the "wu zhong xian"'s variety show about ghosts, even kok long called to scare mi by telling mi tt the office was haunted, luckily i was brave enough, i juz ignored it. Den things go very slow n i fell asleep... Luckily kai jai(the nex dae c.o.s) came, if nt i will have to stand in until the sueh person who kena activated to come...
The long break wasn't long enough, haha~~~ now back in camp i couldn't get used to camp life... Life is getting better than b4, we were allowed to go for night's off every tuesdae n thursdae... If nt for the stand by areas, static training n rapelling, i believe we''ll b sleeping every dae. 1st dae in camp, was all about area cleaning... Our bunk was so dusty, u can c mosquitoes flying around n spider webs formed at the window panes. It was quite tough cleaning the windows but it seems like everybody doesn't reallie care much about the cleanliness anymore, mayb its becos they knew tt no matter how clean the bunk is, encik is forever nt satisfied, or, they slack too much already, like mi cannot get used to camp life... Even tho i have the same thinking as my bunk mates, i still clean the windows thoroughly cos i was sleeping very near to the window... imagine i breathe in all the dust, i'll get asthma sooner or later... Den comes the static training, i was heng enough to siam tt, haha, gold member always have the privileges... (ippt gold larz.. haha~~) We were tasked to draw the rapelling equipments... n ended up nt drawing anything cos the storemen nt ready yet... 2nd dae was our rapeling... We woke up very early (530am) but things got delayed until 745am den moved out, tts wat i hate about SAF, always make ppl wait n wait n wait... we were forced to drink a full water bottle, i nearly vomitted. The journey to PLC (Pasir lebar camp) was so "nan shou", cos we had a hard time, our bladders were all so full, tt when the tonner reached our destination, all of us rushed down the tonner n dashed to the drain to pee... It was a nice scenery, haha... all of platoon 3 was queueing up in one line along the drain peeing... this kind of thing nv happen b4... Singapore is so small, i met the 41SAR course mates... they look so strange to mi mayb becos their hair is long, look different from last time... had quite a nice time catching up with one another.... The rapelling was fun, but pain esp my tighs n waists... Juz in case u guyz r wondering wats rapelling is, its a name for climbing down a structure with juz a rope hooks n caribena... At 1st i was scared tt i might fall off from the 5 storey high structure, my legs were trembling when i got to the top, but i found out tt even if i let go of the rope, i wun fall, tts when my confident comes... haha~~~ rapelling got easier... Its so funnie when i saw ah zai n chee kiong so scared even after many tries, they dun dare to go down, haha~~~ Nothing special lorz, juz an experience.... 3rd dae, i got frustrated, no mood becos i got nt enough of slp... I got woke up at least 6 times by the malays becos they were watching soccer at the lobby which is nearest to bunk... feel like going out to f**k them, but i was too tired i went back to slp... Den we got our nice souvenirs n f**k off from tt place... i quite like this type of thing becos we got to bk out after tt mahz, furthermore i got to take 2 daes off which means i get another long weekend...=>
Haiz.... Juz got my hair cut, feel so ugly now... i dunnoe wat got over mi, when i reached the saloon, i asked the auntie to cut as short as possible for mi... reallie dunnoe wat i'm thinking, mayb i'm too sad, or i think too much le, if nt i wouldn't have ask the auntie to cut until like tt liaoz, haiz....
Feel so sianz cos gotta go back to back to attend our sergeants's ord parade during our off daes, altho i dun reallie mind, the sianz part is tt we gotta book in very early... I went ktv with serene n beng until quite late the nite b4, i even online until 2+, stillI feeling so confident tt i will wake up when my phone alarm ring cos usually i will, i even switched off my phone before i go to bed. I even promised to give 2 of my frenz a monring call, but in the end, i woke up at 715am when ah lam called my house phone, luckily i managed to hear the phone ringing, if nt i dunnoe how many extras ps is going to gimme liaoz... For the first time i was ready to go out of my house within 5 mins, usually i will take at least 30 mins, haha... i brushed my teeth while call cab. when i reach i realised i wasn't tt late, haha~~ The parade started quite late.. juz wondering y muz we always reach so early when things start late... Our serseants were all smartly dressed in number 1, even ppl who is usually "la ta" (untidy) (i wun say who wor) look smart... Juz wondering whether if i have the chance to wear number 1, but i doubt so larz cos we got so many of us, rest of the battalion about 300+ ppl ba... where to get so many number1.. The parade was quite a gd one, especially when the "auld lang sye" (dunnoe how to spell) part was played, so touching like as if tts the end of everything like tt, haha...
